I haven't read the Iron Fey series so I was kind of confused at the beginning of the book but I have to say that the author explains everything you need to know and I found it easy to understand. I do think that you need to read the other books to feel more attached to some characters, but either way I enjoyed all of them.
Like Nyx I don’t know the reputation of Robin Goodfellow, I just know Puck. In this book we see him struggle with his old self, that fey everyone was afraid of, and who he has become, a person who has left behind all the things that made him bad. I was really suffering reading about his inner struggle of not knowing who you are anymore. And I liked the message this book transmits and how the author portrays it. The author did this so well I felt everything.
I really like the world but I have to say that this book felt more like an introduction that a story itself, it’s fast paced with a lot of action but I feel it kind of dragged out a little bit, in my opinion. Also the end was kind of predictable but I also found it made sense because it goes really well with the storyline of Puck's inner struggles.
I'm already declaring my love for Nyx, she's my favorite and a red cap. I can't wait to see more of the world and the characters, specially her. The second book promises to be way better because omg that cliffhanger.

Nunca he leído ningún libro de la autora, así que es normal que al principio estuviese algo confusa por el mundo y todas las referencias a sagas pasadas. Opino que se puede leer este libro sin haber leído los demás aunque te harás spoiler y no sentirás cariño hacía los personajes de las otras sagas (tienen bastante protagonismo en el libro, tanto que a veces parecen los portas y es algo que entiendo por los fans pero que me ponía un poco nerviosa).
Me ha gustado mucho el personaje de Puck y como la autora lleva su historia. En este libro Puck no sabe quien es, si el Robin Goodfellow que todo el mundo temía, o Puck, el hada que cambió y consiguió una consciencia. Me ha gustado mucho ya que es una forma de que lectores nuevos vean sus dos partes pero también porque toca un tema bastante real como es el cambiar y si realmente podemos dejar de ser lo que éramos. El final se enlaza muy bien con eso pero lo he encontrado predecible.
En cuanto a la escritura, he encontrado el libro fácil y rápido de leer. La autora tiene una forma divertida de escribir sin quitar seriedad a los momentos que lo requieren. Sin duda seguiré con el segundo libro, uno por ese final y dos por Nyx, mi maravillosa Red Cap.
