Sigh. This was not for me. It came recommended by my mom, who I’m surprised liked it as much as she did. The characters are deeply unlikeable, the pace is very slow and meandering, and the satire is… fine? A bit much maybe? I kept thinking things would take a turn for the more interesting but the tone and pace were consistent and by the second half I was just in a race to finish.
