It’s giving game of thrones meets romantasy, and personally, I’m here for it. There are criticisms about the writing style and I agree that at times it feels choppy or that there are random inserts of information but it gives the feel of reading the FMC’s journal or personal accounts. There are too many things that just go ‘right’ in the book, diminishing the hype of the heist, as well especially at the end seeming to work out perfectly, but that will not deter me from picking up the second book in the series.
