Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
When I read two subtle but very ableist things on one page I knew it was time to quit this book. With historical fiction it’s easier to be more lenient with ableism because they’re usually just reflecting the real attitudes of the time but this was just a book that BADLY needed a disabled reader to give notes before it was published. Super disappointing.
