The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
3.0
The Unexpected Everything kind of reminded me why I didn’t enjoy YA contemporary romance that much and why I read too little books from that genre. This wasn’t an awful book, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. However, there were a lot of scenes that made me laugh and I did enjoy. The story started off strong and the end was very heartwarming. But the middle part of this book was my biggest problem. There were too many filler chapters thus this book became unnecessarily long. Some of the things that happened in the middle weren’t interesting at all and became too repetitive.
This is just a personal preference. If you do enjoy reading contemporaries, then I’d recommend this to you. However, if you’re like me, I wouldn’t really suggest that you read this book. Don’t worry, you wouldn’t be missing out on anything.
