I really didn’t jive with the narrative style. I was confused, and not in an “oh I’m so excited to find this stuff out!” way. In order to keep me engaged the pace would have had to be much slower and taken time to build characters and stuff to ground me in this world, and I was not particularly grounded. Maybe I’ll pick this up again later when I have the patience for it but who knows.
