Welcome to the Dark Side

Gotta Love Zeus!
This book took me a bit longer to read than normal but it was still pretty decent. Zeus is a great MMC who will do anything for family…blood or not. I enjoyed the storyline with Lou and him writing letters during her childhood. The connection the two of them had was beautiful.
The MC drama was well done and the side characters definitely kept my attention. I did not however like the dialogue for Zeus. Unfortunately the excessive use of apostrophes and word shortening really made Zeus seem uneducated, lazy and it frustrated me to no end! I would read the words and try to lengthen then to their proper words because the choppiness was irritating. That is one reason for 4 stars. I get she’s trying to make it how she thinks a Motorcycle Prez would talk however I’ve read other series where the MC doesn’t talk like this and I just connected better with the characters overall.
Lou was a decent FMC. She was brave, smart, and she went after what she wanted. She was definitely dealt a rough childhood from her parents, cancer and some of her experiences. I did enjoy reading her thoughts and parts were definitely emotional.
