I haven't read a middle grade book this good in awhile. Completely satisfying characters, with secret codes, puzzles, adventure. It was so much fun that I didn't want it to end. I have always been fascinated by alchemy and medieval science and I found this one well researched with fascinating details and a fast paced plot that keeps you guessing.
