The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

5.0

Wow. I had heard lots of hype about the book, so the danger was that it wouldn't live up to it. I've never been so moved by a book so full of science...the interweaving of the human story and the scientific progress was masterfully done. I read a lot of non-fiction, memoir and science-y books. They don't often make me cry. This one did.
