I was hesitant to start this one, even though I love this series, because of its 35-hour length. A week later and I'm sorry that it's over. Despite being long and filled with almost too many characters to keep track of, I loved every minute. I love grumpy-on-the-outside, thoughtful-on-the-inside Strike and I like how real Robin is. The mystery in this one was complicated and took a long time getting solved, but the payoff was worth it, watching the pieces all come together.

As with all the Strike novels, Robert Glenister is an amazing narrator. Perfect for these books.
