scotchyeti 's review for:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
by J.K. Rowling
I have watched all movies a couple of times already and love them. This lowered the motivation to read the books but we have a family internal competition to read the whole series so I will slowly fill the gaps.
As I am late to the party not much needs to be said about part 4. It’s great and another step up from the predecessor! There are some differences compared to the movie (e.g. who gave the hint to Harry) and the interaction between the characters is better. The obnoxious reporter Rita Skeeter also gets more room in the book.
What became clearer in the book is that enough measurements have been taken to make the tournament safe. It’s not that people die immediately when a candidate fails a task, which was my impression in the movie.
5 out of 5 stars
