really fast paced read, kept me on the edge of my seat. would definitely recommend you check it out, but beware you won’t be able to put it back down!

i liked that the author left so many characters in grey spaces, nobody was ever really good or bad. special shout out to the anti-patriarchy sentiment and drunk grandma who got around, favorite parts by far

as a self-labeled lover of all things smut, i feel like this book didn‘t need a sex aspect? felt very messy between the two main characters and lowered the credibility of ben (although ok yes i was rooting they’d end up together at the end)

speaking of the end - i don’t like that ben lied about hearing emmett confess. like wouldn’t the hammer text for blood (even if it’s years old, i don’t think emmett would’ve been one to heavy duty bleach clean the hammer)
