Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

4.0

It’s been almost two months since I finished this book and though I really enjoyed most of it, and maybe due to this being by far one of my most anticipated releases of let alone the year but my life, the only thing I can remember after the fact is… how disappointed I was when I finished it.

The resolution was lazy (because, seriously, how many times can CC use heavenly fire?), there were a lot of inconsistencies, the cameos got so annoying (just let the TMI characters go! We don’t like them!), the whole set up for the next series felt out of place and in the end it was just way too long… this book had a whole other book inside of it. Seriously.

I still gave it four stars and it’s not a bad book by any means. But was it a better conclusion than Clockwork Princess? She could never.
