It's not an easy read. Hints of Jabberwocky. Best to read it on a device with a dictionary...I've never used one so often while reading fiction. Despite the difficulty, I think the book is carefully using the difficulties in its language and writing style as part of the plot. It's a relief to read Doug or Anana after Bart or Max. Some books are harder to read...it does not mean there is something wrong with them.
