The Sinner
by Kelsey Clayton
The thing that I liked most about this story was the fact that popular girl was the protagonist in this instant, having been a big fan of Daria in LJ Shen's Pretty Reckless I knew that I was going to get the same vibe from Savannah, and this is the trope that I really enjoy and find interesting to read. We always see female protagonists getting picked on by the most popular, mean girl at school - but here we were able to read from her perspective. I love when dance is involved in stories too, I find it so interesting to read about - probably because I've always wanted to do ballet and being able to read about someone else dancing immerses me into that world again!
The only thing that I didn't particularly enjoy is how toxic Greyson was towards Savannah to begin with, it seemed he held SO much hate for her, for seemingly no reason - in fact his mother even says to him what I'm thinking whilst reading, that Savannah was literally only 10 years old like bro chill!
Anyway I really enjoyed it and am excited to read more from Clayton!
