I had recently read The Henna Artist and wanted to immediately jump into this book because I loved it so much. I really love these characters, and it was lovely to read about Malik as a young man and how Lakshimi's life evolved after moving to Shimla. Really great read, not sure I loved the mystery that was trying to be solved, but glad integrity was upheld. Really love Joshi's writing and how her upbringing, food and family influences it and the lessons I get to learn from reading it.
