The Fix Up by Kendall Ryan

1.0

So, I've finally escaped the clutches of this series, and honestly, I'm waving goodbye with no intention of looking back. From the get-go till the curtain call, it was just bad. And if you thought things might take a turn for the better with a fresh set of main characters, well, prepare for disappointment.

Let's talk about the mmc first – the British dude who's all about casual hookups. I mean, that's basically his entire vibe. And just in case you momentarily forget he's British, no worries! They'll remind you about it every five minutes like clockwork.

Now, onto our fmc. She seemed kind of tolerable in the first three books. Well, here's the kicker – she's like a carbon copy of the previous fmc. The main difference? She's not exactly swimming in riches. Other than that, it's like déjà vu all over again.

And don't even get me started on the whole "he's a sex God" and "she's not like the other girls". At first, it's good for a chuckle, but trust me, I’ve had enough of it in book 1. Dealing with the same themes for four entire books? Yeah, not my idea of a good time.

This couple's behavior often resembles that of eight-year-olds. Rather than engaging in mature discussions to openly express their emotions, they opt for indulging in foolish mind games that only serve as a recipe for impending relationship disaster.

Honestly, reading this whole thing had me cringing and pulling faces like I'd just tasted something awful.

But, hey, there's a tiny glimmer of positivity in this whole escapade. I've gotta give myself credit for being stubborn enough to see things through, even when the journey wasn't exactly a thrilling one. Goes to show, once I'm in, I'm all in.
