Special Agent Robert Hunter and his partner, Carlos Garcia, are on the heels of another horrific serial killer known as The Executioner. Each victim is killed in horrific ways that appear to align with their worst fears and the clock is ticking before he strikes again. Robert and Carlos have to use every bit of their wit to catch this killer.
Out of the three Robert Hunter books I've read so far, this is my favorite. The kills were horrifying and gruesome. The way Chris Carter is able to describe the scene and the emotions really strikes fear into you as a reader.
Every book in this series so far is fast paced, high anxiety, and a lot of fun. It's hard to put them down.
