“Riptide” and “Crosscurrent” by Paul S. Kemp seem like a new direction for Star Wars. When Jaden Korr (cross over from a video game), a Jedi Knight, receives a force vision, he becomes intertwined with an Old Republic Jedi, and Sith fleet hot on his tale. This is one of the more absurd Star Wars tales, but nonetheless, very enjoyable!
