A beautiful read that navigates through the writer's life, in search of a meaning. By exploring the life of David Starr Jordan we are presented with many issues faced in the scientific comunity during those years that heavily impacted the socio-historical context. Miller has an enticing penmanship, that keeps the reader glued to the page. I found it to be a comforting read, beautiful and raw. I highly recommend.
