A woman sees a young girl in the house behind her late at night, but, to her knowledge, a child does not live in the home. She begins an amateur investigation to figure out the story of the little girl. The story is told in 3rd person, so the reader is aware of what's going on outside and inside the house.
The story was compelling and kept me interested throughout. I wouldn't call it a thriller by any means, but there were some moments of anxiety over what may happen to the characters. I listened to the audiobook in two days.
