Obsidio
by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman
An excellent conclusion to the Illuminae Files.
I thought the previous two books were both really good, but Obsidio ended up being my favourite of the three. As before, I can't say enough about the stellar quality of the full cast audio production. It was probably one of the most engaging audiobooks I have listened to.
The story deals among other things with questions about rules of engagement, particularly when the basis for the war itself isn't legal. It's a very complicated issue and, as expected, there were a lot of quite horrifying scenes in this book. But it wasn't anything unexpected given what has already happened in the previous two books.
Recommended.
