While I enjoyed the book and conclusion to the series overall, I found the pacing to be all over the place. The last 25% happens all at once and feels very rushed, when the end of the second book felt drawn out. The pacing for the last two books and conclusion could have been better.

I thought the ending could have been longer with more explanation on how Orisha healed after their common enemy was vanquished. It felt like the addition of the other land/skull plot line was too much to handle with the other themes of the book. After all this buildup of unifying and healing Orisha, we barely see that.
