A sapphic "romance" (closer to erotica though) with happily ever after, as advertised. However (though I guess I should have guessed since it's a bodyguard book) there is lethal violence which I didn't really expect. (E.g. Cover Story was also a bodyguard book but had no lethal violence.)
Not my favorite. It gets the stars because it keeps its promises, but in addition to being short, it just seemed kind of shallow and unsophisticated? Maybe it's because I saw this author has cranked out a ton of books, but it felt like there was less care and nuance in it. (Misspelling the main characters name...) The exposition uses the characters' names repetitively to the point I was wondering if one of them was a no-pronouns person. Nope, just awkward writing.
If you just need a sapphic romance that is a quick read, not very in depth about the characters or their inner thoughts, you like the bodyguard sub genre, and don't mind gun violence, you might like this. I didn't really.
