Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond
4.0
This book took me a long time to read, because it was depressing. I didn't really like the landlords in the book, and I felt bad for the renters. It seems like this is a cycle that is very hard to get out of (and the incentives to get out of it are not as strong as the ones to stay in.) Very readable. My only complaint is that I wish the book had footnotes instead of endnotes. Otherwise, this is a very compelling, well-researched book.
