I didn’t expect this book to speak to so many parts of me. The weird kid who struggled to make friends. The animal lover who connects to the local wildlife. Someone who has been watching the world die and feels helpless to do anything about it. Someone who wants to adopt kids and knows it will be difficult but worth it. Someone who constantly experiences the same cycles of grief, anger, and hope. I didn’t expect this little book to say so much. Thank you for teaching me that angry tears have magic and that nature knows more than we do.
