This book is my endgame. It stripped and gutted me, broke me apart and put me back together again. I don't even know if I'm whole or just a jumbled mess of pieces stuck back together again after what I just read. I want to gatekeep it and lock it away in my heart to keep a secret I take the grave with me.
Utterly and emotionally destroyed me. Cried hysterically. I will treasure it forever.
Sam's story was absolutely soul-destroying. His crimes are unforgivable and sick and yet I feel for him so deeply. I felt every ounce of Vesper's conflict like I experienced it first hand. It was terrifying and dark and beautifully twisted and I'm afraid nothing much else can (or will) ever compare.
