Infinitely Mine by Marie Skye

Infinitely mine is the third book and highly anticipated conclusion to the Incapable series, by Marie Skye.
Emmalin Ross has been through so much and lost more than she thought she could endure- but she is a survivor and has managed to keep going when most people would have given up.
She found love and comfort in the arms of Grayson Mandrake and she was happy- at least for a little while.
She learns that Grayson may have a chance to reconcile his past and resurrect a significant relationship, so to make way for this to happen- Emmalin makes the heartbreaking and selfless decision to leave.
Grayson doesn’t know why Emmalin has left and can’t understand how she could walk away from him and give up on their relationship. He is a shattered man, whose bitterness soon turns to thoughts of revenge. He will make her feel as miserable as he has felt since she left. So, he returns to his manwhoring ways and makes sure that his exploits are well publicised in the media.
As time progresses, Grayson uncovers the secret that was the catalyst for Emmalin’s departure- the news astounds him and makes him question everything he thought he knew. In true Grayson style, he leaves no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of the situation and gains a new perspective of what’s most important to him- Emmalin.
Meanwhile, Emmalin is living day to day, making the motions, but not truly moving on. Her heart aches for what she left behind and she has become a shadow of her former self. She knows Grayson has moved on as she has seen the articles about him, and been hounded by the tabloids. Living without him and having his love life thrown in her face is more painful than anything she has ever had to endure.
When Grayson suddenly appears in her life, commanding, controlling and demanding- all her hurt, pain and anger, bubbles up. Some of the things he has said and done since she left- have made her to not want anything more to do with him- and she really couldn’t survive losing him again.
But Grayson is determined to have her back in his life and now that he has found her, he won’t let her go again.
As a new threat becomes apparent, can Grayson protect her? Can they work through their problems and find happiness again? Can Emmalin forgive the fact that Grayson has been with all those women? Are there issues that hold the potential to destroy any relationship that they may be able to build? What could the future possibly hold for them now?
I am devastated that this series is finished, but elated at the same time because Emmalin and Grayson got the conclusion that they deserve. I was excitedly anticipating the release of this book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I had such high expectations and true to form, Ms. Skye has once again delivered a breathtakingly brilliant book.
Ms. Skye had me biting my nails in suspense most of the way through the book. She had me laughing, and then sobbing my heart out, nibbling on my lip or squirming in my chair- before outright cursing her, out of complete frustration or despair. But I didn’t put the book down, I couldn’t!
Even now my mind is still reeling, I am struggling to do the book justice and communicate how this book couldn’t be more scintillating, and how deeply the series has branded itself on my heart.
Reading this book has left me a quivering mass of jelly and I’m not sure when I will recover from my Marie Skye hangover. I do know that I can’t wait to do it all again, with her next book/series. So she better be writing her butt off, because I don’t know how much longer I can wait…. >GRIN<
A truely brilliant ending to a superb series!
