Great fun. Super fast, kinetic read. The women for me are soaked in a sexual value system that yes, feels very much a part of the pulp tradition but leans to a wish-fulfillment that started to drive me nuts. Despite the large presence of many women in the narrative. Despite the one very powerful, brilliant woman crucial to the narrative. But, I definitely want to read the Cartel. Winslow's a great, hip, playful writer and I won't be surprised if this is a bit of a standout in what wore me down here.
