This book's plot carries most of the rating. The plot was intriguing yet there were so many moments where I was like come on seriously no one would ever do that. The mystery aspect was very prevalent in this book along with the romance plot, I love the way that both genres were mixed together. The writing was okay, good for YA but not phenomenal. The plot keeps you wanting to know more especially towards the end. It starts off hazy in terms of understanding character relationships but as you keep reading it gets more and more interesting  because the relationships are well shown and not confusing. The LGBTQIA rep is amazing in this book, specifically bi and lesbian, even if the book shows the horrible side like conversion therapy there is still representation of how family acceptance and a supporting environment is so important. There are so many good things about this book yet so many downfalls that is why is lands in the 3/5 stars category.
