Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel by James Luceno

4.0

Luceno is one of the better Star Wars authors, and he is at his best when writing about galactic politics. So this book mostly works fine. It's nice to fill in some more of the gaps from the Clone Wars through A New Hope, and bridge the prequels and classic films together that makes them feel more cohesive. Can't comment on how well it leads into the Rogue One film because I haven't seen it.

But, Lyra Erso (Felicity Jones' character's mom) is a wonderful character, and the book is very much worth reading for her alone.
