My husband did an interview with him at Scarelastic book fair and he told the story about how this story came about and I am very glad I had that information before reading, I would have liked it still but I got to have an overview of the regret and yet the beauty of making something out of it.

Erin is here.  Erin is mourning the loss of her on again off again boyfriend Silas by spending the weekend with their friends Amara and Toby.  Toby tells them about a drug that Silas was taking that helped him talk to his dead mother.  The three friends decide to "get haunted"  Amara decides to leave Erin and Toby, who start to spiral down where they only want to spend their time with the dead.

Clay McLeod Chapman is one of my instant buy and reads.  I have enjoyed his story telling and upon meeting him it solidified as a favorite.
