Jedi Search by Kevin J. Anderson

I didn't love this, but I didn't hate it either. I think it's a decent start to the trilogy and sets up some interesting stories, but the way it does so can be a bit boring at times (specifically the Lando chapter when he watches a blob race- what was the point of that?). The writing can be a bit over-simplistic at times, but it's serviceable and inoffensive. I wasn't a huge fan of Han's story until they escaped Kessel and found Admiral Daala, who I actually do find to be a very cool villain and I'm excited to see more of her. I also like the fact that we're getting a lot of payoff from Luke wanting to pass along Jedi teachings for the past dozen books or so, and we finally get to see that process starting. Overall not bad, worth a read for sure, but a bit forgettable.
