Demon's Dance by Keri Arthur
4.0

Rating 4/5

So far, all the Lizzie Grace books are a 4/5 for me. They are all quite enjoyable and I don't feel like they should get anything less than 4/5.

That said, they also aren't fantastic. There are books that I rate 4/5 star and I know that I'm going to re-read thousands of times after I finished them, but I know that this series Is not going to be among them. I MAY re-read it in the future in a moment of boredom and if I don't want to re-read for the uptenth time one of my classic re-reads. But that's it. I don't feel so impatient that I HAVE to read the next one immediately

It's Just that there Is no true love for the character or the universe.
I like them. They are interesting, funny and smart. But I am also NOT attached to them in any way. I don't really love any of them. They are all quite likeable but that's where It ends.
And while the plot can be interesting, it's never something completely captivating.

But what I think is the real "weakness" of this series is the romance. I don't really care for it that much.
And I don't feel like Lizzie and Aiden HAVE to be together.
I feel like they are ok together. But It doesn't feel like they truly complement or complete each other. They don't feel like pieces of puzzle that fit together in ways they wouldn't with any other.
To me It feels like they fit, but that there could also be much better option for them "outside", that there could be someone else that fits better and I Just wished they were Just temporary live interest....which Is something that I NEVER do. I usually want a single love interest and having more than One throughout the series annoys me.
Yet, in this case, I really would prefer It of they just momentary, understand that they don't quite work out so that there can be a better love interest for Lizzie..
By the way, I like Aiden as a character, I Just don't really feel the chemistry between him and Lizzie not do I particularly like them together.

Overall, I think the romance is lukewarm, a bit wishy-washy and somewhat boring.

That said, it's still a solid read and a solid series. A good way to pass time and a decente paranormal series to read.
