Peter Pan
by J.M. Barrie
BBC Radio 7
When I was listening to this, my fascination towards this story came back. I don't remember when I first heard of Peter Pan but it was a magical moment. Now when someone mentions that someone should grow up and stop acting like Peter Pan, it's kind of offensive. I mean, it is bad when someone hurts other people and doesn't recognize their responsibilities, but at the same time I remember Peter Pan and adults who forget how to fly. Does being an adult mean that you have to forget how to live and forget who you really are? Although I never cared for Peter Pan himself, I was more like a Captain Hook girl. The magical stuff and the concept of not wanting to grow up drew me in.
