Thank you to PRH audio for the copy, all thoughts are my own.

Hooooo Kay. I really liked this sapphic paranormal romance. I love this Crimson Tide world that Katee has created, combining paranormal and pirates in a world that exists between the other realms. Lizzie has a ton of baggage, which considering she has spent a couple hundred years under her Mother’s rule which was ruled by fear, is unsurprising. I loved how these two became better together and complemented each other. There is a bunch of action scenes which helped the story flow well. And once they started fighting the pull between them, 🔥🔥🔥

❤️ Tropes ❤️
💋 pirates and paranormal
💋 sapphic romance
💋 vampire and selkie FMCs
💋 from different worlds
💋 grumpy vs Sunshine

Lizzie has chased her ex, Evelyn, through worlds. Sure she told her to run when her mother unexpectedly visited to save her life. But she didn’t expect Evelyn to steal her family jewels and jump through a portal, destroying it so no one can follow. If she doesn’t get those jewels back, she doesn’t want to think of the horrific punishments her mother could come up with. But the jewels have been taken from Evelyn and now she needs to find a way to get to the ship that has them. Her only hope might be helping a selkie that had her pelt stolen from her. If she helps her get it back, she will help get those jewels back and get out of this world that is mostly sea and full of monsters that put a vampire low on the food chain. If only she stops getting distracted by how wanting to count how many freckles Maeve has, or the way she flushes when she notices Lizzie watching her.
