valleneb 's review for:
Devils' Day Party
by C.M. Stunich
Surprisingly good read
This book was recommended to me by a PA to one of my favourite authors. At first, I did not like the book nor did I hate it but I carried on reading as curiosity got the better of me.
The turmoil that Karma goes through is gut-wrenching and addictive to read.
Calix, Raz and Barron are her bullies and are completely broken, dark and most definitely messed up. But Karma gets under their skin, climbs over walls and bashes doors down to get them to reveal themselves to her. Shockingly sweet romantic moments filled with scorching hot smexy. But as Karma relives each day over and over, she realises in the end everything has to balance.
An emotional roller-coaster read with betrayal, declaration of love, art and friendship. A great read. But note that the story is intense and triggers warnings.
