This book is gonna stick with me and I can't wait to start the second one. The way Reid portrays PTSD in Effy, the misogyny, the patriarchal establishment that punishes all women and lifts the men, the drowning  both literal in the actual physical drowning that occurs multiple time throughout the book and metaphorical in Effy's mind. I loved this book so much!
