The plot in this story, and the added character of Sabetha, made this my favorite installment of the series so far. However, I did not like the way it was presented.

Every chapter alternates between present-day and the past. You have two stories simultaneously going at the same time. It is frustrating to be in the middle of an epic battle, to have to put it on pause for 20 odd pages.

This also made it difficult to follow any new characters that were introduced. For example, five new background characters would be introduced and then the chapter ends. These characters are no not mentioned for another 10-30 pages. Not only are they not mentioned, but the storyline that they are included in is not mentioned. I found it very difficult to follow these characters when we got back to the chapters they were in.
