Hawk|6519692|Jordan L. Hawk|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1521548404p2/6519692.jpg]. Set in the same world as the Whyborne & Griffin series, this series promises all you loved about the original, while also injecting some new life into it with a set of all new characters. And what characters they are! Our fist MC, Sebastian, is a lovable, yet unremarkable (for now) vanilla human. Our second MC, Vesper, is a much more interesting creation and he definitely stole the show for me here. His 'abilities' were such an unexpected but wonderful surprise, and his dedication to his brother was heartwarmingly charming. I loved hearing a bit about both of their backstories and can tell there was much left to be revealed in later novels. I am also very interested in Ves’ bother Nocturne and hope to learn more about him as well. Overall just an excellent start to what I’m sure is going to be another slam dunk series for Ms. Hawk. I enjoyed every minute of this book and cannot wait to see where this series will lead us.
