This was devastating and also so frustrating - shadi getting in her own way at every possible chance she gets, but i have sm compassion for her. This was also a rly important reminder of how our parents, siblings, friends, lovers are all living this life for the first time too, and this shit is hard!!
Although this authors portrayal of islam and muslims, specifically hijabis was interesting … but i thought it was refreshing that not everyone was super halal and upright rule abiding.
