I would have liked to get to see a bit more of their healing conversation to reckon with Astrid's betrayal of her agreement with Jordan but otherwise I really liked the way they both brought baggage they they helped each other work through to the relationship and liked that Astrid ended up in a place that was not "owns her own bakery" but was a bit more realistic while still incorporating her passions. I did feel the secondary characters were not as well fleshed out as the first book. Like Simon didn't feel nearly as knowable as any of the side characters from book 1. Do really enjoy the style overall.
