As per usual the book starts out slow and then the last 100 pages or so are packed with excitement and action. We learn a bit more about Pendergast in this one, but not much.

The ending had a bit of a Lake Placid twist that I appreciated..I also enjoy the almost supernatural but also backed with science. That it could happen storylines
