The Cormorant by Chuck Wendig

5.0

Despite being 350+ pages this book seemed short. Maybe that's because not a lot happened, or at least that's the way it felt. Poor Miriam was like a pinball, getting bounced back and forth but not feeling like she had a ton of agency even though that's part of what the whole thing is supposed to be about, destiny/fate vs free will. Still, I think it get 4.5 stars overall and I will be eagerly awaiting the next one
