Surprisingly boring and trite. I feel badly even stating this, as C.L. Wilson is a top-knotch Fantasy Romance storyteller, in my opinion. Alas, I realize that I will not love every book by a beloved author. Sadly, it took me weeks to finish this one as I wanted to DNF it many a time.
