Fast forward after the events that took place within Reaper and Knives and you get the first book of the Moretti series. What an amazing story it was!
Knives left off with so many questions regarding what was going on with Mateo. Those questions were answered and then some. I was so pleased with the story of Mateo gaining back what he lost and finding everything he thought he wouldn't have again. Nora is absolutely perfect for Mateo. It is an age-gap romance that works out so well. Nora is exactly what Mateo needed to move forward with his life. This was an amazing way to start this series!
**Mateo is a standalone novel however, I recommend reading The Ruthless Kings series first as you meet him in Reaper and there are parts throughout the series dealing with his character and what he has gone through.
