The Trial by Franz Kafka
2.0

This book was a bit uneventful and somewhat boring in its description of a man who was charged with an unknown crime, and how he attempts to navigate the court system. In many ways, the frustration the main character feels in this story is what many people in real life (in the U.S., at least) feel while going through the court/criminal justice system, currently. I thought I was going to come away from reading this book with an enlightened understanding of the criminal justice system or personal struggles of everyday people or maybe just learning something completely unexpected. I did not learn any of those things, and somewhat feel like I may have wasted time reading this book.
