Maus II: A Survivor's Tale: And Here My Troubles Began by Art Spiegelman

5.0

I just adore these books. I have read plenty of books set in WWII time but these graphic novels give me an even bigger picture of the story being told. It is so easy to see the human lives being portrayed by the animals. I was bothered by the racist aspects, but they fit with the story being told. I didn't see it as the author's racism, rather racism that existed at this time and his father's notions of the world.

I expected these books to be about WWII but the tale of a man coming to terms with his father death and their relationship was just as powerful.
