Power Play Pursuit: A Hockey Romcom by Marion De Ré
4.0
In this second book, we follow Beth, a coffee shop co-owner and super sweet woman. She is in a relationship with a Hockey player, but he never treated her right and after one more slip from his part she ended things for good.
James is a Hockey player for the Raptors, and is living his dream. The only thing missing is the woman he loves to realise that he is it for her. So even if they have an enemy-ish relationship going on, when she ends her relationship he believes he may have a chance.
They flirt and banter a lot, and is so enjoyable to see their back and forth. Everyone sees that they are perfect for one another, but Beth is kind of blind to it all. So when an injury puts them closer, some things start to shift.
What Beth soon realises is that there is so much more to James besides is Hockey persona. He is sweet, has a huge heart and loves to make people happy, mainly the ones he cares about. He is protective but kind, he is goofy and funny and just being aroung him makes you a little happier.
This was a bingeable read, extremly funny and with such a good vibe. I've read it in almost one sitting and loved it all.
And the Golden Age nursing home... it was priceless!
I can't wait for the next Raptor's stories.
