Did not finish book.
Okay. Well. DNF, and seriously side-eying the people who 5-starred this one.
I had started skimming in self-defense, as whole chunks of backstory had no relevance to current events, but when I got into Chapter Twelve it got worse, with POV head-hopping between the ghost and the baker. I hate head-hopping.
There are 38 chapters. I experimentally skimmed the last chapter, and found it to be as choppy as what I've read. Bailing is the right choice for me.
